We’re thrilled to announce that the Chinese American Association of Cambridge (CAAC) has been awarded a $1,000 Community Grant from Eversource to support our Cambridge Community Dragon Boat Team’s participation in the 2026 Boston Dragon Boat Festival!
Building on our successful 2025 debut at the 46th Boston Dragon Boat Festival, our team has spent the summer training on the Charles River out of the MIT boathouse, welcoming paddlers of all fitness levels from Cambridge and surrounding communities. This grant helps us:
- Cover race-day nutrition and support for our team
- Provide free training seats for youth through our two-month summer program — about 30 sessions in total — removing financial barriers for youth and low-income residents
